Secure eBooks - 1 User Licence A 'secure' eBook means the eBook you download is activated on your computer by an ACTIVATION KEY - a number that is generated when you purchase the eBook. You need to be connected to the internet to activate the eBook but after that you can use it at anytime without being online.
If you wish to move the eBook to another computer it is a very simple process to deactivate it, copy and transfer the file, and reactivate on the new computer. Remember to keep your Activation Key!!
These secure eBooks are not compatible with Mac Computers. If you use a Mac and want a 1 User Licence then choose the "1 User Licence for Mac" option
The Downloading Process for Secure eBooks (1 User Licence) Downloading the secure eBooks once you have purchased is very straightforward and well signposted. We have included a full description of the process for those who need more details.
Add an item to the shopping cart and checkout
Credit Card Customers: Once your payment has been approved you will immediately receive confirmation on your screen along with an Activation Key. You will also receive an email notification of this information. Pay on Invoice Customers: You will receive two emails. The first will be a confirmation of your order. The second email will be sent once your order has been approved by us and will include the Activation Keys you need.
Click on the yellow "eBook Downloads" button on the top right hand corner of all pages on our website and choose the "eBooks - 1 User Licence" option.
This will take you to our secure eBook downloading page.
Click on the cover of the eBook you have purchased from the covers displayed.
A pop-up window will prompt you to RUN or SAVE. Click SAVE and select a folder to store your eBook in, or save it in your Desktop folder so that you can access it directly from your desktop screen.
A downloading indicator on the pop-up screen will show you the downloading progress and the estimated time required to complete the download depending on the speed of your internet connection.
Download completed - Click on OPEN to open the file.
The file is zipped to speed up the downloading process. Windows XP and Vista will unzip the file for you when you click on it.
Your secure ebook will now open in SAMPLE MODE. In this mode you have access to a contents page and a few sample pages. You can copy this and share it around to anyone who is interested; in fact we encourage you to do that. If you want to email it to a friend you will need to rezip it before attaching it to an email as it is an exe file which email security systems are very suspicious of.
Activation - when you are ready to activate the full version, follow the instructions on the SAMPLE MODE cover using the Activiation Key that we mentioned early. Activation will lock the eBook onto the particular computer you are using.
If at any stage in the future you need to transfer your activated eBook to another computer, you can click on the menu bar that is displayed when you are viewing the eBook and deactivate it, load onto your new computer and reactivate it.
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU PRINT OFF YOUR ACTIVATION KEYS AND STORE THEM IN A SAFE PLACE.
